Thanks for taking the time to check out Your First Steps!  We are a public childcare center serving Casper, Wyoming
for the last 19 years. 

We are licensed for 49 children and care for infants through age 12.  Each age group has their own room and teacher. 
Here are some of our highlights!

 

 -We are DFS licensed and accept DFS assistance for those who qualify. 

 

-We participate in the federal food program (CACFP) and as such we offer healthy meals and snacks at no additional cost.

 

-We have a preschool program as well as spending most of our mornings doing projects and learning activities in all age group rooms.

 

-The Natrona County Public Library bookmobile visits every other week.

 

-We work on potty training with those that are ready.

 

-We have outside play space that includes a play fort and other structures as well as a bike area.

 

-We offer drop-off and pick-up at various Elementary schools on the Westside of town.

 

-Our preschool and school age children have summer field trips.

 

-We teach our children to use their manners and to vocalize their feelings rather than act out on their feelings.

 

-Our staff meet and exceed qualifications- they are CPR/First Aid certified, have passed a background check and attend classes throughout the year to further their understanding and work with children. 

 

 

Childcare Rates

"Your First Steps" provides both full & part time services and we do charge when

your child is not in attendance as it holds their spot.

 

Full-time (25 plus hours per week) Infant-Age 5 Years: $150.00/week
Part-time (24 or fewer hours per week) Infant-Age 5 Years: $95.00/week

 

Children in Elementary School:

• $10.00/school days ($50/week) if NO transportation is needed to/from school.
• $15.00/school days ($75/week) IF transportation is needed to/from school.
• $30.00/non school days and holidays.

 

"Your First Steps" offers drop-in care if our enrollment allows for it. 

Please call ahead if care is needed for your child(ren)
to ensure a spot is available.

Half-day up to 4hrs- $20.00

Full-day up to 8hrs- $35.00

Weekly part-time (up to 24hrs)- $100.00

Weekly full-time (up to 40hrs)- $160.00
